Based in Northern California, the Shasta Cascade
Hazardous Materials Response Team (SCHMRT) is a multi-agency and
multi-jurisdictional
response team which proudly serves the counties of Lassen, Modoc, Shasta,
Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity. The Shasta County Fire Department serves as the lead agency for
SCHMRT.
SCHMRT is comprised of fifty (50) members from various agencies and departments who come together regularly to maintain their skills as emergency responders to hazardous materials incidents.
